When you find yourself needing care or activities of daily living are becoming a challenge, the claim initiation process can be started.

You can initiate a claim by logging into the customer portal at Genworth.com
You can also contact the Long Term Care Claims team at 800.876.4582.

  • Monday to Thursday from 8:30 AM to 6PM ET

  • Friday 9 AM to 6 PM ET

What to expect from us?

  • Initiating a claim can begin online or via phone by you or your personal representative. The Intake team will begin the Notice of Claim process via phone call.

  • Education about the claim process, policy benefits, and your next steps.

  • If you decide to file a claim, we will send a claim packet with applicable claim forms.

  • Depending on level of care, Genworth or one of our assessment vendor partners will reach out to schedule the assessment.

  • Planning a move to a facility in the future? Already have a private caregiver selected? Let us know, and we can conduct a Provider Review to see if they meet the requirements of your policy.

  • We can provide referrals, if applicable.

  • If you decide that now is not the right time to file a claim, Genworth will send a letter communicating that.

What do we expect of you?

  • Provider information, if you have identified one.

  • Primary diagnosis and care needs.

  • Benefits being requested.

  • Current services in place and current location.
